Rebecca Smither, MS, CHES
Rebecca is the Outreach Coordinator at the Comprehensive Center for Brain Health at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine. She partners with community organizations and associations to develop opportunities to increase neurology knowledge, health literacy, and research readiness. She coordinates off-campus and on-campus educational programs for both professional and lay audiences, including lectures, conferences, research rounds, center tours, and community engagement activities. Rebecca earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Health Education and Behavior at the University of Florida and is a Certified Health Education Specialist. She is currently a doctoral student at the University of South Florida pursuing a PhD in Education with a concentration in lifelong educational practices in health literacy among older adults within community and workplace environments. She is passionate about promoting self-care through the journey of learning.
