Rebecca Smither is an Arts in Health Program Specialist at the Comprehensive Center for Brain Health at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She leads arts-based outreach programs that promote healthy brain aging and well-being. She earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Health Education and Behavior from the University of Florida. As a Certified Health Education Specialist with a background in the performing and visual arts, she brings an interdisciplinary perspective that bridges health education and the arts to outreach programming. She is also a doctoral candidate at the University of South Florida, where her research examines how the health education workforce integrates narrative arts into professional practice and community health settings. In her role, she promotes arts engagement as an evidence-informed approach to support brain health.
