Rebecca Smither, MS, CHES
Outreach, Recruitment, and Engagement Coordinator
Rebecca is the Outreach, Recruitment, and Engagement Coordinator at the Comprehensive Center for Brain Health at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine. She is passionate about promoting self-care through the journey of learning. Before joining CCBH, she was a Health Educator supporting Medicare members to manage health issues and improve lifestyle practices for optimal health. She has also worked as an Administrator at several community organizations serving Palm Beach and Broward County, overseeing programs in computer and technology skills classes for senior adults, health screenings and wellness activities at preschool and aftercare campuses, and healthy lifestyle classes for adults with intellectual disabilities.
Rebecca earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Health Education and Behavior at the University of Florida and is a Certified Health Education Specialist. She currently is a doctoral student at the University of South Florida College of Education pursuing a PhD in Career Workforce Education and Lifelong Learning. Her research interest is women working beyond the traditional retirement age who pivot to encore careers.
