Katherine Almonte, PA-C
Physician Assistant
Katherine Almonte, PA-C, is a Physician Assistant working in the Division of Cognitive Neurology with a focus on research and collaborative care. She partners closely with neurologists and other healthcare professionals to support advancements in understanding and treating Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and related neurodegenerative disorders.
Katherine earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Neuroscience & Behavior from Florida Atlantic University in 2013, and completed a Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2019.
With a strong clinical foundation in family medicine and employee health, Katherine has provided comprehensive, patient-centered care across diverse populations. Her work has focused on preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and workplace health promotion. Building on this clinical experience, she has transitioned into the field of neurology and research, with a current focus on dementia. She is passionate about advancing our understanding of cognitive decline and contributing to the development of evidence-based strategies for early detection, treatment, and support for individuals living with dementia and their caregivers.
