Sarah Getz, PhD

Instructor of Neurology

Sarah Getz, PhD, is an Instructor of Neurology and Researcher at the Comprehensive Center for Brain Health at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Getz earned her doctorate in cognitive neuroscience at Princeton University. After earning her PhD, Dr. Getz completed postdoctoral clinical re-specialization training at Suffolk University and Harvard Medical School affiliated hospitals. She completed her internship at the Miami VA Medical Center where she was the Chief and Neuropsychology Intern. She then completed her fellowship in the Department of Neurology, Division of Neuropsychology, at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

Previous research awards include a dissertation grant funded by the Center for Health and Wellbeing’s Demography of Aging Center, supported by the National Institute of Aging at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs as well as a McKnight Brain Research Institute Inter-Institutional Cognitive Aging and Memory Interventional Core award. Dr. Getz is the recipient of the 2020 McKnight Clinical Translational Research Scholarship in Cognitive Aging and Age-Related Memory Loss funded by the McKnight Brain Research Foundation through the American Brain Foundation and American Academy of Neurology
